Can you identify this breed please?
The first image is the mystery chick at 5 weeks old.
She is about 3 weeks old in the second pic.
She had very characteristic chipmunk markings and eyeliner for a few weeks, and is getting darker with some speckles. Very yellow legs, 4 toes, tight smooth feathering.

First off, I just found this site, so I'm sorry if I do something wrong!

So, we got these four chickens (as chicks) a couple months ago, but we're not sure what breed they are!

My photos aren't great (I felt like I was trying to photograph Bigfoot or something...) but I think we have three boys and a girl?View attachment 1029674 View attachment 1029675 View attachment 1029676 View attachment 1029678

Welcome to BYC! You didn't do anything wrong. Hope you stick around!

Where did you get them from? You are correct, three cockerels and one pullet.

Thank you!!

I'm not sure where we got them... I'm pretty sure it was either CAL Ranch or Tractor Supply. My sisters fiance picked them up one evening as a surprise. We'd already raised three other chicks, so we still had pretty much everything we needed for another group of chicks. He doesn't remember exactly what they were labelled as, but they were "asian" something.

The breed isn't super important to us, I'm mostly just curious. They've been really awesome to have around! I used to/kinda still have a fear of chickens, but I've been working with the hen a lot, so we're not scared of each other anymore!

Ok. Well, they're certainly not Asian anything. Lol. They really remind me of Black Copper Marans, without enough leakage but I think that should come in. Do you know if those were available there?

That's great! Are you planning on getting some more pullets and keeping all the boys?
