A Lav Cuckoo roo is a diluted bla know, so it wouldn't make a difference in the first cross other than you may get dark legs. That chick looks like a Cuckoo Orp. (Mine usually have white on their chins and sometimes a little on their chest)
Thanks so much for your help! I think I've got it figured then which 2 are the black cuckoo orps. I love this place. :)

I have 2 chicks that are supposed to be Welsummers who are developing a little differently. They are 7 weeks old. Do you think one is a cockerel? Could the one with a few speckles be a different breed?

1st and last photo are of the same chick...the one I think could be a cockerel.

Thanks!!!!

can anyone tell me what breed she is? the woman who lived in this house before us had five chickens, but she couldn't take them with her when she moved, so she gave them to us. we don't really know anything about these guys, and I really want to know what breed this one is. she seems like she might be a bit older (I don't think she's laying), but I think she's really neat!

They aren't the best pictures but can you tell what breed? They came from my niece-- her elementary class hatched them. They all have different amounts of blue, and I see puffy cheeks like my Easter Eggers have. They could be mutts. They're about a month old.
