One male and female black Australorp

The sexlink is defiantly female.
The other...we need close up pics of saddle and hackle feathers

Here's a close up of 'her' feathers, hope it helps. One of them started making all kinds of noise at 6am, sunrise, this morning. Usually it's between 8-9am.

Pullet. Saddle feathers are rounded. She should be laying any day now.
A cockerel would look more like this.

I'd be grateful with either but I live within city boundaries which only allows us three hens, so I know my neighbor (rude) would call on a rooster. I believe she's a pullet too and think she's just doing her noisy puberty thing. Thank you for your opinion! :)

Hello -- I have a 15 week old speckled sussex that I thought was a hen but then today I noticed some long feathers coming out of her rear end! Is "she" really a "he" ? I have not heard any crowing sounds, and her comb looks very small and pale... so I'm holding out hope but those tail feathers worry me!
