Don't know what breed or gender you have? Click here!

I'm sorry to hear you had to rehome 3 cockerels already. Ameraucanas are generally late to mature which is why the pullet's comb won't usually redden until 30 weeks of age. I wouldn't rehome him yet, just in case. Could you snap a clearer, closer pick where the saddle feathers should be? You should notice pointy saddle feather development at this age if he is a cockerel.

I can definitely try to get better pics tomorrow. I haven't seen saddle feathers, but those tail feathers are over the top. Ameraucanas are confusing.

I had to rehome one roo, thinking I had three boys and wanting to get down to two. Now, if this is a boy, I'm back up to three. But I'll wait for sure. They're getting along just fine, still.

I have 2 4-month old pullets from Ideal. One is a Sumatra, the other, “Thailand” (their version of Thai game). When I got them, since both were black chicks, they marked the face of the Sumatra with purple marker. As they grew, I kept track of which was which and put a band on the Sumatra.

Now they have very different appearances, but I wonder if I mixed them up at some point, because the one thought was the Sumatra looks more like a game Fowl, and the one I thought was the Thailand looks... well, like not a particularly great example of anything.

So, pullet 1, supposedly Thai

Pardon the poor quality shots. I was trying to bribe them with one hand and shoot with the other.

What do you think? I love pullet 2's type regardless of whether she's a good, bad, or indifferent example of... whichever breed she is, and pullet 1 has some of the traits, like heavy iridescence, that I want too. I'm not displeased with either one, but I'd like to know if I mixed up their identification.
It looks like it, but I'm not an expert on either breeds, so I can't be sure.
Does my 14 week old Lavender Ameraucana pullet look like a boy to you? Her Swedish Flower Hen sister ended up being a brother so I'm crossing my fingers I'm just paranoid. I've never had Ameraucanas before this.

Does anyone know what this little one is? I got it at TSC on March 1st so it’s about four weeks. I took it from the bantam bin. And if someone one can guess gender I’ll be greatfull too. TIA
