Here’s a better picture of Minnie. You can see the copper on her hackles. She’s about 3 1/2 months old. I got her at a poultry swap from a backyard enthusiast. He said she’s an australorp but I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s really a cross with something else.

And here is Lily. She’s was in chicken jail in the other photo post as she’s been broody twice within a month. She’s really smart too. I got her from some people who decided they had too many chickens - if you can believe that! Lol!

Hey everyone I’m new here so don’t really know how to use this but I wanted to know what kind of breed rooster I have? If any of y’all could help me.
Well my aunt gave it to me. No idea where it came from.
He looks like he has a lot of breeds in him. He probably is part phoenix or American game to get that long tail, and he could have some wyandotte or RIR in him as well.

Probably a australorp mix, though it's possible that she's a black copper marans.

She's a mix of mixes, though I'm thinking she has delaware or columbian rock in her.

Roosters are awesome: Where did you get them? How old?

We got them at Tractor Supply. But did not think to write down what we picked. We have two Asa Browns, the one that makes the weird noise said Golden Comet. But don't remember the black one. They are all 2.5-3 months old.

The lighter chick is a buff orpington cockerel, and I believe the darker one is a barnevelder.

Hello, I'm hoping someone can shed a light on what breed my Belgium Bantams are!

I believe the male is a Barbu d'Anvers but the female I'm not sure...is she the same?

They came together, we've had them over 1 year now but after I purchased a Bantam chicken standards book, it made me question what they are.

In the book there is a couple of breeds that look similar :hmm

I only really focus on my Silkies and Quails but my sister was wanting to take a Chicken to a show next time I go. Just for fun of course but I suggested for her to take our little bantam rooster pictured here.

Of course, I need to know what he is to determine what class to put him in for her :D

Oh, the female now has a super load of feathering on her legs and feet compared to on the photo.

Rooster is a d'anvers, hen is a booted bantam

Back again everyone!

Blue Cochin or Blue Brahma?
(Or potentially Cochin x Brahma?)

We got 4 of these girls about 8 months back and for the life of us can we remember what they said they were.

I've had a scan through some of my poultry breed books and narrowed it down to either Brahma or Cochin.

I originally thought Orpington but these have super feathery legs so they can't be.

Identifying chicken breeds isn't something I'm fantastic on, especially when they look so similar!

Some of the best pictures I can find of them:
