You think I'd be used to it by now. She tends to get very excited when she manages to get into a pen and just goes a bit stupid. Almost like a dog. The turkeys were all single kills except the last one when she took the turkey, but killed about 12 Orpingtons I was growing out and several adult hens. Left them in the pen when she took the turkey. The ducks have all been single snatches too. Everyone has been locked up in the barn at night where she can't get to them for the last two weeks. I could kick myself for moving birds last weekend. Most of those birds wouldn't have been in that pen. But I suppose when she fell through the roof she just grabbed everything that moved.

Where I grew up yes. And I've seen one or two around the area (struck on the highway) but never any here. There really aren't any mast trees to speak of. Most everything around here is elms, so not as much for them to eat. I've never seen any sign of them here; no rooting, wallowing, or noises from them bickering. I saw a river otter on the pond next door during the big snowstorm back in February. I saw one fox on the back fence line. Too far away to tell if Grey or Red. Dispatched a few raccoons and relocated some opossums. I've seen with my actual eyes a bobcat two years ago, but this female is both brazen and clever. She never seems to come at the same time and for a long time it was in the early morning. But when it's really wet I can follow her tracks.
I hope that you get her soon. Good luck with your next stakeout -- you'll get her someday.
(Now I'm wondering what bobcat tastes like... sorry).

Yeah they get pretty bold around here too. We actually had one crossing road within a mile of our house in broad daylight! Had coyotes brazen like that at one hunting property…..it would cross the field in front of my treestand every day at different times. I threw one arrow at it but missed 😤

Thanks. I'm a really good shot if she'd just show up when I'm out there with the rifle. Or do me a favor and get run over.

I had one little coyote about two years ago. She was eating the dead rat snakes I'd been tossing over the fence. (Yes I tried relocating, the snake gods did not smile upon me. I stopped counting after I killed the 33 in three months, all over four feet. And I killed them because they were killing 3-6 month old Silver-laced Orpingtons at night when they were roosting.) She didn't pay the birds any mind and was very cautious. trotted off while I watched from the window in case I needed to pop outside and take care of business. I hear them but never see them.
The claim is that mountain lion tastes like pork. The same claim applies to bobcat.
That's interesting. Apparently locals think that this cat might be a cougar based on the amount of carnage and what it's been able to take. I personally think it's a bobcat. I don't think the pug marks are large enough to be a cougar. And I've never seen or heard one. Although that would just be my luck. lol Might explain the deer carcass or two I've seen on the neighboring land when I'm doing a prowl. But I certainly didn't see any sign of a large cat during the snowstorm. Nor did I see any of the bobcat for that matter. But we have little cottontails this year which I haven't seen until now and I know they are a food source for bobcats. Wish the stupid thing would quit eating expensive chickens and enjoy the plethora of native prey items it can find; wild birds and waterfowl, opossum, raccoon, deer, cottontail, several species of rodents, beavers, frogs, otters, etc.

If it tastes like port, then it sounds like good eating, whatever she is.
Also, that's a lot of snakes!

I was not listening to this but I am going to listen to this today.
I'm halfway done with this video.
I like this dude.

How can I remember to wear my Fitbit?
I've literally worn it twice in the past 2 weeks!!
Don't take it off.
The only time I take my Fitbit off is to charge it and I will only charge it while I'm taking a shower.
I only need to charge my Fitbit like once a week if that.
The longer you leave it on The quicker you will forget it's there.

:yesss:
I just started randomly hitting buttons and magically got my byc stuff turned back on!!!!! 😂
You problem was buttons on BYC or the dumb ipad?
You probably accidentally clicked these three dots then the brackets.
