I have been wondering... I had 6 black sexlinks for their first month of laying every single egg was a double yoker! I mean 1 out of 15 eggs would be a double yoker! Is this normal, most posts here act as if it is super unusual. Is it? All I can say is I don't even really like the yolks!

It's normal to get all sorts of weird eggs, shapes, quality of shells, double or even triple yolks with new layers. As the "kinks" are worked out of their system, these things go away. I can't even tell you the last time I got a double yolk egg, it's been so long.

Black sex links are bred for laying, so if anyone was going to consistently lay double yolkers, it would be them. But I would say the amount of double yolkers you are getting would be unusual.
