Is it normal for my chickens to have double yolk eggs? I have recently given my in-laws around 18 eggs..well so far 6 of them have been double yolks..

It's not all that unusual. It's more common in pullets just starting to lay, and in older hens. Sometimes a chicken will lay them a lot more often than other chickens. It happens when more than one yolk gets released at the same time.
