Dove injured found in road

A friend of mine just found a dove that has been wounded in the road. They have chickens, ducks and parakeets. They were wondering as they try to nurse it back to health, what should they feed it - chicken food (grower/finisher) or parakeet food? If anyone has any idea, please let me know. Thank you

I would feed it like wheat and seeds so parakeet food.

...and avoid too much chatter about it. In most states it is more legal to shoot a dove than rescue one.

Care and feeding should be similar to tame exotics like diamond doves and various pigeons, so look things up accordingly. Baby doves eat crop milk and need parrot starter.
