Got another pip! 2 popping! I heard a crunching sound coming from the other egg. C'mon zip zip zip! I got the nursery all set up and moved her whole nest in there, she went right back to sitting after a quick bathroom, food, water, poop break. I've got electrolyte ice water in there, and chick starter food. I gave her few drips of NutriDrench . I'll come back and check again this evening. Hopefully I'll have a few little chicklets.

Her nest wouldn't fit in the cage with the hardware cloth lining!:barnie So, this eve when it cools down, Im going to find that dang rat! Im sure he is living in there, there is no way he's getting in at night, there are no holes in the coop. The floor of the coop and 2 feet up the sides are covered in hardware cloth, the vent area along the roof too and the window. Unless he is getting in during the day when the coop doors are open. No, I know he's living in there! Im evicting him tonight! Emptying the whole coop. He's way too smart for any of the traps Ive set so I am going to have to hunt him down. He is not getting those chicklets.

I really think that IF the beast were to try to bother the babies the mom would take him out.
I think.
So if you can't find him try not to worry too much.

Widdle peepers yet?
