Went out to open the coop this morning and feed the flock and our Buff Orpington rooster Dr. Pete jumped up in one of the trees in the run and after a little fluffing he puffed up and crowed! Well he tried anyway. It actually sounded like he was being strangled but he did it three or four times. Hope he gets better at it, and much much louder.

Oh, it's so much fun to hear a rooster crow for the first time. I have a lavendar Orpington rooster, and he just started crowing recently too. I just love hearing it. He crows at random times too, not just in the morning.
