How's your drake doing today?

No major improvements in walking, his eyes have cleared up, and he's more combative with the B12, so maybe he’s getting some better. I will continue for a week and see what happens I guess.

Yes keep it up, it can take a while depending on how bad the deficiency is. Or even if it is one but keeping him on it for a week should give us an idea.

Not well, no improvement in walking, I lost another hen to a mink attack, inside the electric enclosure. Whatever went on he was so wound up he beat his wingtips bloody and featherless. I think his legs feel hot and wonder if a course of antibiotics would be in order. I am kind of at a loss otherwise.

I am so sorry about your hen, are you saying your drake bet his wingtips bloody and featherless? Was this because of the mink?

It wouldn't hurt to try a course of antibiotic on him. I'd use Baytril.

He is in the same 168’ enclosure as the girls, but the water/food are right by the door, he need not travel far.
How exactly do I purchase Baytril? Seems i need a prescription and there seem to be many different varieties.

https://allbirdproducts.com/products/baytril-10 Since I bought it last which was a couple of months ago it has really gone up in price, you could try him on Doxycycline it's less and still treats systemic and bacterial infections.

Both are good antibiotics
