Mine are 5 weeks old but they do sound different from each other and one lets out a loud quack every once in a while but not constantly.I have a male and female khaki. Females have a quack and you can tell its a quack. Males do not quack. If you pick them up, they will make noise. My female had a distinct quack at about 4 weeks. Mine were born last week in February.
I think it sounds like a quack but if she was doing it more regularly, I would know better. I guess I will know soon enough! They do also seem to have differently shaped heads, just slightly. One is more narrow and one is more full-faced.Males can not quack.. if it quacks it's a girl. My khaki Campbell is a girl.
