So I have to many drakes atm, so for when breeding season comes we need to set up pens for the drakes without any women 😅😅
Would this be good for just one drake?
I have cayuga, Indian runners and muscovy drakes, will change size depending on the breed if needed

Accidently posted it whole still writing lol,
My muscovy drakes don't swim, so what can I replace the swimming pool with? What enrichment would they like instead of a pool??
And both of them don't roost, they could if they wanted to but for some reason they never do!

That duck enclosure is gorgeous! I'd love to have something like that for my little penitentiary ducks! Or a whole row of them. Perfect for mating/nesting time, imo.

I'd leave the pool for a Muscovy, they do enjoy a soak to get clean and preen.

My muscovy love to bathe they just aren't water hogs like my Runners and Buffs. But giving them a place to have a bath daily will keep their feathers in great shape and keep parasites away. When they bathe they preen which keeps their feathers water proof.

Love that pen.

Your pen looks great. I would keep a tub for the muscovy: I got a good pink plastic tub from the party supplies department at Walmart for less than $10. It's perfect for my non swimming muscovy for dipping his head in. I do sometimes stand him in it and rub his feathers down, after hosing him with the shower nozzle, when he gets too stinky. He doesnt like it but needs must! I have also had two pekins squeezing in together, but they are water-aholics!!

One small detail, i think you need half inch hardware cloth round the drake pad rather than chicken wire.

I have put them in my bath tub sometimes, one loved it one hated it. I do try to hose them down as often as I can but they just run away.
Even though they have a clean pool, free from all the scary fish and a big pond with fish, my muscovies are terrified of them!! 😅

I haven't built it, but I will use mesh wire when I do! :) Sadly I don't have walmart In my country but I know where I can get cheap pools
