I have 3 drakes in desperate need of rehoming (I am located in CT). It’s not that I don’t have the time or resources to care for them, I just have WAY too many drakes and they are tearing one of my females apart. I don’t know why they single out my welshy, but they do and she now has an infection on her neck (any advice about that would be helpful too) and i have no way of separating them. I honestly am considering rehoming all of my drakes with the exception of 2 but I figured I would start with 3 and see how it goes. They’re all mixes of my flock and they hatched in late July of last year. I cannot be sure their fertility because I do have 1 female muscovy, and she was the one that sat on all of the eggs. They’re beautiful though and pretty mild mannered for the most part and although they aren’t completely tame they are definitely comfortable around humans. I really love them and I helped a lot of them hatch but i’m so worried for my girls, especially my welshy she looks like hell. Please get back to me ASAP if you can give them a safe kill-free home!! They’re free to anyone that can take them and care for them well.

Is there a SPCA in CT that will take them? MA does have one shelter that will take farm animals.
