Nice!! Congrats!Today was the day! One nice solid brown egg! 22 weeks old.
I must tell everyone, I have a terrible case of chicken math! I managed to get two BCM pullets!They're about 8 weeks old so I will be dreaming of their eggs until they lay. That makes 8 new pullets this spring. I swear I won't get any more.

And then you'll go buy more next week or month![]()
But congrats on the new chicks! I want more hah
Nooo!! I must resist. Lol! We have 8 new chicks so far to add to the 9. I just had egg basket goals!![]()
Oh wow, that's a lot of chicks and chickens! Haha
I'm pretty happyhappy with my 8 but there were some that were sold out when I got mine. For me it's less egg basket goals and more feather goals![]()
For example, I would love to add Speckled Sussex, some Wyandottes, and maybe some different colored Orpingtons. Plus the Sussex and Orps are friendly.
I don't know if this is common or if I got lucky but mine aren't all boring uniform or dark brown, some are a little darker and speckled, but some are almost pink, some are almost cream, etc. So I get variety in the basket withot even meaning to, besides the EEs![]()
We were supposed to get a Blue Orpington, but the hatch was bad so we got a Swedish Flower Hen instead. So far she's a really nice chick, very friendly and getting some beautiful feathers. My daughter picked her out.
@KDOGG331
, is everyone laying? You should post a pick of your egg basket.
