Dreaming of Spring Gardening in the Middle of a Wisconsin winter part 2

Lisa, a lot of tomatoes come from Mexico. If these silly tariffs stay in place, the price of tomatoes will be outrageous. so if someone wanted to make a little cash, he could sell tomatoes for a less expensive price and do very well. that is just my opinion.
i am thinking of doing it.
yesterday we had stuffed peppers from the raised beds. yummy .
the radishes are not coming up yet.
we had thunder almost all day yesterday.
3" of rain. we needed the rain. I didn't have to water.
the ferel cat is still earning his keep, down side is that he drops his quarry inside the garage. we don't find it until it stinks.
yesterday bil came and did a few chores that I couldn't do myself. then he helped me find the leak in the power steering on the tractor. glad it wasn't a $2O:hmmo cylinder. just a small hose.
I think I can splice it.
another warm morning. i can handle it. beats 2o below.

We got an inch and a half yesterday. 3 inch is a lot Jim. Nice to not have to water.

Store tomatoes don't have much flavor anymore. Hopefully produce doesn't get too expensive. I like my daily salads.

We were without our satellite dish for a few days. The guy came out yesterday and got it back. We have slow internet and getting stuff over the air is so hard, so it's nice to just turn it on again. Too expensive, but better than being frustrated daily.

I never eat tomatoes in restaurants , i give them to Annie.
today is day 4 and my radishes are coming up.
the woodchuck was on the lawn today. grazing between two box traps,. nope, didn't go in. I guess he doesn't like beets. i know he likes cat food.
maybe tomorrow.

hot again today. i got up early and checked the trap line. one set off . nothing in it.
then i took my bag of oats to the corn plot. hand broadcast the oats . laid it on kinda thick i think.
Annie is roasting some beef . it smells so good.
will have potatoes and gravy and a veggie.
it was a 12 pound frozen roast. i sawed it into 3 equal pieces. kept 2 frozen and cooked one.
the mosquitos are so thick outside. i wanted to have my coffee on the deck. no such luck. i don't know how they can fly and not run into each other

Mosquito aren't too bad here thankfully. Been too dry for them. We are trying to trap our third raccoon. We have started to harvest and eat the corn. Not a lot, but enough for a week or two.
