3 Polish cockerels. 14 weeks old. Dumor feed and foraging. Live weight average 2 lb 13 oz. dressed weight average 1 lb 13 oz.

Well today I processed 3 of my meaties (Cornish rock Cross). 2 cockerels and 1 pullet. 7 weeks old, fed 24% starter feed for 2 weeks and then 20% starter/grower. Also fed mealworms, dried fruit and veggies. Kept in brooder room. Live weights averaged 6 lb 10 oz. dressed weights averaged 5 lb 6 oz.

You can really see the difference between these birds and a dual-purpose when you look for the breast bone and see a dimple!
 
We've already done most of our chickens for the year, but I took some pics of the quail we just processed. Jumbo Brown Coturnix on the left, and Texas A & M Coturnix on the right.

I didn't weigh them, but to give you an idea of size here's the way I pack them for the freezer, eight to a gallon bag. We cook them on a rotisserie and they are delicious!

Mix breed 1/2 Naked Neck 1/4 Ayam Cemani 1/4 Red Ranger, 20 weeks old, estimated weight 4 to 4.5 pounds. I forgot to weigh him. Didn't expect the Grey/Black meat.

This is grey meat not black meat, although I have never processed a full Ayam Cemani or a Silkie I suspect their meat is much darker.
