Drinking puddle water

That's why I kind of laugh any time someone posts a response along the lines of "the water must be pure, pristine and I will only allow my hens to drink water I would drink myself" kind of thing, because given the choice between a bowl of clean drinking water, and something that looks pretty gross to me, they will take the gross looking water any time.

The only thing tastier than puddle water is RUNNING puddle water. Mine will drink the water running across the driveway after a storm until they literally throw up.

puddle water has minerals! Ive read a few places that to pure of water is not only bad for animals but humans also. The body needs those water soluble minerals.
