One of my hens this morning was drooling a little while pecking at seeds on the ground. She didn't seem to be drooling when she was running around terrorizing her sisters, but only when pecking at the ground.
There's a lot of snow still on the ground, could it be that she is eating snow and then it's melting in her mouth before she's got it down?
It looked sort of like what it looks like when they eat slugs, thin sticky looking mucus stringing out of her mouth.
Another of my chickens is sneezing. I was contemplating giving them some tetracycline powder I got at tractor supply, but I'm not sure what the dosage should be given that it says 1 gallon for 100 birds, and I have 5 birds.
