Drooping and Purple comb on roo BETTER! THANX! **NEW PICS**

He looks great!
Just a followup to the FFA Question:

This is just how they do it. You can even do google images, FFA poultry judging...and see.
They hang them upside down to judge the breast meat. These are broilers, not fancy chickens.
The kids have to hang three chickens and can use a parent/helper to hold. So they have to teach the kids to hold them and not get scared.

Yeppers, I'd take them both away actually free choice. Maybe give them once a day in a treat snack if you want to. Lots of fresh clean water, imo. If you think at this point he still needs vitamins, I'd use them but not for terribly long. Complete feeds are *supposed* to take care of the vitamin needs. That being said, bad storage also makes nutrition in bagged feed degrade so sometimes we do actually have to supplement.

I like to do something in between and supplement monthly - just in case. Especially the oil-based vitamins, A D E which are usually the first to go from a bag of feed. (My personal choice is wheat germ oil for that.) That way I can bulk-supplement without really worrying about changing the balance in nutrients. You could technically do the same with a vitamin package.

I'm just so glad the boy is better. It's such a relief to see him looking so much improved in the new pictures! I'm especially a fan of OEGB's - so add that to the equation.
