Dropped and cracked an egg while candling

AND. Even after the quick lift and grab, humidity said 62, then was back up to 65 within 30 seconds, so I"m not too worried. The room they are in is running warm and humid for this reason. :)

the cracked egg has pipped. I noticed it a few hours ago. hasn't made much progress, since but that seems normal based on the others that hatched... hopefully by tomorrow morning I will know if it will make it or not. I will post pictures when I can find the time is the little chick hatches!

Cracked-egg chick officially did not make it. Of the 15 in there, we are down to 11 left. 3 have pipped this morning. a few others are moving. They are just slow hatchers it seems. I'm thinking I needed to up the temps a bit more next round than they were with this one in the Hova Bator?? If ALL of the chicks hatch, I might not go another round...but I'm tempted to.

Sad...

Thank you, girls... I'm sad, too...as I am most likely the reason he/she didn't make it. It was the largest egg in the batch, too! The third chick just hatched with two more a little past the first pip. So...if the next two make it, that will be 5 out of the 15 that "took" so far. The chicks that hatched yesterday morning that I quickly swiped from the incubator are doing well. They are eating and drinking and pooping...so that is good!
