Dropped and cracked an egg while candling

ok. Entering Day 21 here in a few hours. Fingers crossed. I will be happy if I get at LEAST one hatch from this bunch...I would love to see 5 or 6, but I'm thinking that it might be wishful thinking.

update...2 have pipped. one right on the hour for day 21 to be complete. The other sometime between 5 and 6 AM. I "think" that I saw signs of movement in the cracked egg again last night...but time will tell. This lockdown and hatch process is stressful!

1st one hatched! (sorry, I feel like I have hijacked this thread now...)

You didn't hijack the thread...it's YOUR thread :D

How's the cracked egg doing?
Probably too late now, but I wonder of draping a damp paper towel over the cracked egg would have helped?

Second has hatched, and the CRACKED egg has pipped!!! It has pipped the wrong end, though, so we shall see. It moves around a bit, and I "think" I heard it chirp! I have it laying right next to a towel. Humidity is 65-66. I did do a no-no and took the two that hatched out (one I decided to cut the cord so to speak as it was dragging it's shell around - clear stringy...and they were really moving the others around, which was fine for me aside from the cracked egg concern). IF the cracked one hatches, I really hope it is a girl, because it will become my pet, and I will be getting rid of the roos... This is so exciting and fun, but I DO lack patience! I'm also wondering if one side of the incubator runs warmer, as some eggs have seemed a bit behind at last candle. Those are jumping a bit today like the ones that hatched did the 24 hours before pip. I'm just so thrilled that any have made it!

Also...it seems that the cracked egg is shell cracked only...membranes seem to be in tact? Just looking through the cracks, that have gotten bigger lately :)
