When she first started living outside I kept on putting her up there every day. Now she loves it. That's how I taught Wanda and Vision to roost (because their mammas sleep in the nest box like all the other silkie hens)

So I didn’t get time outside with Millie and the flock today, work kept me busy. But I did have company during my meetings that droned on for hours! I just love them! They make working from home so much more enjoyable!

I see her getting pecked a lot so I'm very happy that she's made a friend since her brothers were rehomed and has a nice place to hide out from The Twins (that does deserve capital letters)

They truly are!! I love how they just chill on me during the day and stretch out all relaxed They are SO tiny! I don’t think they’re much bigger than my quail babies! It’s hard to believe they are chickens sometimes

I know! When mine were babies, they all slept in my cupped hands!

Yeah they really do need friends! They’re so gentle. I have 5 Swedish chickens (Hedemora and Olandsk Dwarfs) and while they’re not at all mean or bullying, the two silkies, the light Brahma bantam and Millie all huddle together like the Swedish chickens are a gang or something So I’m glad Millie has friends she can hang with that are more her speed!
