I’m terrible at naming things haha. You could go with a gymnastics theme since they’re so active :) Gabbie (Douglas) Simone (Biles) and Suni (Lee)!🙃

As for your other question, I was told week 4-5 is when the boy comb becomes more obvious! For such little birds the boys get pretty big combs! In straight comb birds, you want to watch for a color change from pale skin color to almost a red/orange color. It will look small and unnoticeable until it’s not. Those will be your boys! So you might know by next week at the earliest if any are of concern :)

Calla and Lily are almost 12 weeks now 😧 And they’re just the cutest! Lily is not going to be show quality it seems, as her beard is non-existent and shows no signs of being late either. She’s gonna end up looking more like a booted bantam, but I no care! She’s precious and I love her! 😍

Cute names 😍 my EEs do the same thing.....although I don't think I will be able to have them just all over me when they are full grow

Haha yeah my two Ameraucana roosters like to be on my shoulders at the same time! I can’t see and they each weigh at least 7 lbs! 😆 not to mention their big old feet and claws! Very much less adorable 😂

Well the lil d'uccles have been in the big brooder inside the run for bout a week.
Went down yesterday to check on em and let em have interaction with bigger babies and Joey and they had already escaped the brooder and enjoying life! So i left the brooder open and they seem to all be doing well together! Joey cracks me up though...his crest is wide and his beard is fluffy so they move so fast he sometimes has em going between his legs! He's such a good boy with all these babies!!!
The d'uccles...they are carazy babies!!! They are like on Crack of something the way they flit and fleet around so fast! Then they stop lay smack dab in the sun for bout 40 second then off they go again!
They are so skinny though compared to the satins whi h have really thickened up the past week!!!

Wee Thumbelina is the biggest “helper” with morning chores. He loves to make sure I’m doing everything right 😂

Our D’Uccle hatch was a bust… :( The one live chick we did get was deformed in the legs and despite hand feeding it with a dropper died. The other egg that tried hatch haemorrhaged to death part way through hatching… none of the other eggs developed.
Oh no, I’m so sorry that is so disappointing after the 21 day investment of your time and care :-( I always feel so sad for the eggs that develop and the chicks that hatch that aren’t fully ready for the world :-(
