Not sure on age. At least over 1 year.
Underweight right now.

I originally thought she was eggbound or worse. I did the treatments that I read on this forum on other posts. Well, she wasn't eggbound. But she had an impacted crop and had lost a lot of weight. Well, I gave her a Olive Oil and Water mixture, that cleared it up with in a day. My problem is getting her to put the pounds back on.

Her poop looks fine and great! And it is giant for her small size. She also back to being dog and cat aggressive. I have also been putting electrolytes in her water.

What can I do to help her put on weight?

Thank you!

Well, I put her in a wire bottom cage to "make" her walk. She walks a little more. My mother gave her a shot of Penicillin in the thigh part, which was the most meaty part at the time. We gave it to her over a week ago and she is limping still. Any tips?

Im currently running into the same issue. All I can suggest is feeding her fatty foods. Cottage cheese, yogurt, crackers, bread.
I cant seem to get mine to eat well, but maybe you will have better luck! :D

Thank you for the input.

She eats fine. I gave her a hard boiled egg all crushed up, almost like scrambled egg, and she enjoyed it! I have also been mostly giving her Chick Starter.

Well, she is walking more. Today, I didn't know she ran out of food and today I fed her. Now her crop is hard and full. AGAIN! What can I do to prevent that impacted crop? She is also missing feathers on her head now.

When they eat the crop is usually full for quite a while. It's if it is still hard and full the next morning that can be a problem. How long have you been trying to get her to gain weight? It takes a while to put it back on and running out of food isn't going to help. You need to keep an eye on that. Why are you making her walk? Does she have another problem besides losing weight? She could need worming. Are you sure she is not just broody?

Well, she is doing great today! Yay!

How long? About 1 to 2 weeks.
I have been keeping the bowl full, but she empties it really quickly.
Nope no other problems, now.

I will try to worm all my chickens ASAP. I moved some OLDER fully feathered babies in with her. And she is acting like nothing was wrong. Still limping a bit, though. Reason I moved them, she started "talking" to them as soon as I put her in the wire bottom cage next to them. I make sure she eats even when they are in there. But she keeps them in line.

I am sorry for bumping this up. But I HAD to post. Millie, the mille fleur D'Uccle, laid an egg!! She stopped laying during the whole time during her being sick. But I was at friend's house and came home. And my mother put her egg on a rag on the cabinet. I AM SO HAPPY!
