Looks like it might be a blue or splash. Hard to tell at this age.

The hens color is a bit messy with too much white, not consistent enough over the whole body. The rooster doesn't have enough color, he needs more black in the tips of the feathers. Maybe together these 2 could make some nice babies

At what age do feather hocks usually start to grow in? I have two d'uccles that don't seem to be getting any hard feathers on their hocks yet. They are 6 week old pullets. Is this normal for their age or will my girls not meet the type?

They are both still young. Not a year yet, maybe 7 months old I think. Never had Duccles before.

Does anyone have any issue with their D'Uccle roosters attacking them.

Mine chase me, and have now found it fun to fly after me. I smack them, but after a day or so of thinking about it, they go and do it again..

I have had a couple of bad boys, and no longer put up with that behavior! Most of my d'Uccle cocks have been fine, and that's how it should be. My bad bad cocks never gave up until they went far far away. Too small to eat, but gone. Keep the nice boys only. Mary
