D'uccle Thread

I would go ahead and bring her in the house, if your shore she won't be lonely. They make great house chickens. My girls were suckers for the camera today: These are some pictures from last year: ^ This is the same rooster as the one in picture 2. you can see how he's filled out more after he molted.
I love your flock! I didn't realize how much I would love this breed! I just grabbed her out of a mixed bin. Thank goodness! I want to learn more about them and get her a Roo . We have two cochin Roos but. They seem so much bigger. It wouldn't be a permanent thing ( bringing her in) just to visit. She seams to need more attention. She has a beautiful coop we will continue to keep her in. She's just fun! How much does a full grown hen weight ? Chicken little seems so small.

Hello all! I am searching for some MF d'uccles...eggs, started birds, etc. I found some eggs on ebay...does anyone know tncowgirl318?
The pics are kind of blurry so I can't tell how beards are, etc. Any help would be appreciated. PM me if you don't want to reply publicly. If anyone here has eggs that would be great too.
Thanks!

I got eggs off of ebay last year, 24 eggs for $40. They sent 33 eggs, and I got 21 chicks out of them. unfortunately, I don't think those people are selling anymore. I haven't ordered anything from that person, so I don't know how their eggs are. they do have 100% feedback though.

I just can't see ordering six eggs...the chances any at all would hatch is just too small. I've been reading this thread from the beginning and am currently on page 259. I've checked the database, I've checked with breeders who have contributed to this thread, and I have found only one current breeder. I was really hoping to get birds from Wegotchickens (Lori in TN I believe) but no luck, haven't had a response yet but fingers crossed. Anyone know if she is still breeding? It seems that d'uccle breeders have short lifespans in the hobby as many I have contacted no longer breed them - I should say A LOT of breeders no longer breed them. I realize this is a lousy time to try to get eggs but I would like to check out all options for when eggs are available come spring. Thanks!

Hello everyone! I am just starting out with D'uccles. I have a black mottled pair, mille fleur pair, and golden neck pair. These chickens are some of my favorites and full of personality. This is my mille fleur hen striking a pose for the camera.
