D'uccle Thread

Under the SOP, mottled is just black with white but the standard is from 2001 and there is supposed to be a new standard coming out anytime. I don't know what the new SOP will list. I just know that D'Uccles are being shown in more varieties than listed in the SOP.

Gypsylion, thank you so much! Right now, I actually just put my first eggs in the bator and I usually dont sell till they are few months old, so I may not have any for a while. But you never know, things may change if I can get ahold of some nice breeding stock... Anyways, my Eggbid user name is "Impeckable". I will come back to this forum and let it know that I posted an auction when I do so.
Again, thank you so much for compliment!

I love my chickies!

Thanks LILCROW.

So my blue mille fluer roo to blue mille fluer hen could have produced a golden neck hen. It is the only one that is not either a blue or black mille fluer.

Now the experiment will be what happens when I add the Lemon Mille Fleur roo that We got on the weekend at an auction. Henk's Calulator says I get more Lemon Mille Fluer.
About 50 % Blue Lemon Mille fluer and 50% Black Lemon Mille Fleur.
If I cross to Lavendar I should get Black.

I will just have to see if it is correct.

Wow...didn't know there was lemon mille...very cool looking!

Anyone have any thoughts on my new blue mottles? They're only a week old but thoughts on gender would be appreciated. Plus why is one really dark and two really light?

"Sweetie" I know...very original but I feel like I'm running out of names...how does that lady with 18 kids do it???

"Sticky"-he had shell membrane stuck to his back for 3 days before I bathed him...

"Grumpy"-the name says it all...

Sorry, ConservaChick, but I know nothing about mottleds. Hopefully someone will come along that does. The light ones look almost like Lavender chicks they are so pale....

Chickenzoo has Golden Neck d'Uccles. She'd thought about butterscotch when she had a mixed pen, but has them seperated back out. I think I'll get some more eggs from her for my birthday

Hi everyone,
I have 4 Mille fleurs. 3 roos and 1 hen. We were hoping the one was a hen but nope got a roo of course. I was wanting to get some porcelains but my bator broke so i cant hatch and id prefer older birds anyways so i know if they are SQ or not. I was hoping for a trio. I will post pics of my milles another day when i have more time.
