D'uccle Thread

Not sure about lemon.

For my goldnecks, they usually start out kind of butterscotch and then darken up and start to get their white spots later on. Around 8 weeks they really start to get pretty and you can kind of judge type.

Well my 4 lite eggs go into lockdown tomorrow...not sure how many are porcelain and how many are serama crosses. From.size I'd say 1 serama 3 porcelain... we will know soon enough :-

OMG!!! They are so beautiful. Does mom have Fertile Eggs????

Carolyn, I am working on a color page of my own for the golden neck - - it is a work in progress, but you are welcome to view what I have so far here: https://www.backyardchickens.com/web/viewblog.php?id=12029-duccles-goldenneck

I
do not have lemons, but I will also be working on a butterscotch page since I have many more pics of those too. Hope that helps.

Who me? I told my mom that as soon as they start laying again, I'm gonna hatch some out. PM me your info and I can try to get some from her to send to you. Maybe we can do a trade for something.
I have a few more pictures.

The cockerel looks like a butterscotch.

And speaking of butterscotch . . . for those interested, I have created a gallery of my butterscotch project birds to help those working on this color. This project was with booted bantams, but they are related and the color is always tricky, so I hope this helps. More adult pics coming soon.

Butterscotch color project gallery:

Absolutely gorgeous! I am trying to breed bantam Cochins to look like that. Didn't know the d'Uccle came in that variety, too. Very beautiful!
