These eggs were very fertile. Developed and were moving around like crazy. It's fun to candle them when they are so busy, I even managed to candle and see them without removing them from the incubator. All I did was shine the light on them.

I'm glad I stayed outside while 40+ chicks were free-ranging or in temp pens yesterday. This morning a red fox was 10' from my back door, and loped off past my coop after we made eye contact. And then we made eye contact again after I walked over to the coop and looked beyond it to see where the fox went. It sashayed off after we gave each other the eye again.
I am SOOOOO glad I locked everybody up safe and sound last night! And that my runs have buried wire walls and cement block threshholds for the doors!!

CP, sorry but it took me a min to find the f2 blue cockerel's pic so I could show you what I meant about the blue with leakage. He is staning next to a lemon/citron cockerel who's not molted out yet to show adult feather/coloration. WGC, you have already seen this pic, so maybe you can chime in also??
Carolyn, I'll try to find the other pics of the blues I have and will go ahead and pass them along as well.

Just thought I would share my hatch from Teddi's eggs. I got 7 of the 8 that went into lockdown, best shipped egg hatch rate I've ever had. I have two Millies and 5 Procelain.
Can someone tell me how to get black or blue molten?

We have now got a couple of the blue or black split for lavendar hatched now. This should help with type in my lavender boys.

We will see how Citrons eggs do next weekend.

Your welcome, I'll try to find the chick pics and PM them to you so you can have something to comp w/your kidos as they grow. What babies did you get from WGC's eggs? I bet they are darling!

GC, I never sent Carolyn any eggs. I just offered to trade pullets for roos if she got in a bind (not allowed to have any roos). They'd have to be my pullets though since I only got roos from your eggs.

WGC, yeah, I'd say you really were lucky the fox decided to leave peacefully, and on an empty tummy! My bad on eggies...I thought CP had some of yours as well.
