These eggs were very fertile. Developed and were moving around like crazy. It's fun to candle them when they are so busy, I even managed to candle and see them without removing them from the incubator. All I did was shine the light on them.

I wish I had blues.... but where would I put them?
I'm glad I stayed outside while 40+ chicks were free-ranging or in temp pens yesterday. This morning a red fox was 10' from my back door, and loped off past my coop after we made eye contact. And then we made eye contact again after I walked over to the coop and looked beyond it to see where the fox went. It sashayed off after we gave each other the eye again.
I am SOOOOO glad I locked everybody up safe and sound last night! And that my runs have buried wire walls and cement block threshholds for the doors!!
