So what do you think of these guys? The main one I want an opinion on is Solo...He's alone in the first pic...

I picked up my new babies from LuckyInKy this morning. They're dirty (she's a good chicken keeper and has been misting them in this blasted heat so their feathers are all muddy)and not happy (they spent a long time riding in mini-vans today) but THEY ARE SO COOL!!! I'm pretty much in love with this breed after only 3 hours.

But it looks like the Porcelain cockerel on the far left is muff-less.

Yeah, I noticed that on the way home. He's pretty sweet, though, and I wasn't as interested in SoP this time around because I wasn't even certain I'd like the breed. When I find myself replacing birds, I'll skip hatchery stock and go to breeder for the D'Uccles. They're pretty amazing even as hatchery stock. I can't imagine what they'd be like from a good line!

Looks as if the lil girl was 'strikin a pose' for you!

Lori, wanna give a go at what colors these 2 young boys of mine are? Anyone have thoughts or ideas? Both boys are 3rd year pro x pro breeding.
Please forgive the tatterd feathers, they were being picked on by my older cockerels, so we just moved them into a new pen 2 days ago. There IS middle toe coverage, just not the way I had hoped, but they are only a couple months old, so maybe' in time' as there are still nubs showing. He also has a thin/small beard.

I was told this is a salmon, not splash and not GN. he looks laced to me

You can kinda see the feather 'nubs' on toes. will get better pics.

Are these babies bred from parents of the same color variation or a combo, and how'd you get the calico. I have one Mille and 5 Porcelain. I want some black mottled, I need more girls I only have 2 girls and both are young and the boys won't leave them alone. One more question, If by chance one of my Roo's mated with my BCM do you think it will be small. I have a boy that looks like a Marans except for his face he had a beard and hackles look like a duccle, I guess I just thought they couldn't mate. I think I was wrong.
