D'uccle Thread

so what D'uccle do I have here-is he a golden necked or a buff mottled? also -does the black in the tail make him a DQ for the colour? He is about 5 months old, btw.

Have any of you had any problems with your d'uccles walking due to excessively long food feathers? I've got one that is walking bent over and I'm trying to figure out why. She also doesn't really want to walk as much.

Hmm, yeah I'm looking at a video of her that my mom sent (I'm currently away at college) and she doesn't really want to move around or walk much. She was scooting a bit on her belly, but that's it (in the video). Apparently she just lays around a lot and walks like her legs aren't holding her up? She's the only one with this problem so I have no idea what's up

I've never seen them scootind around on their belly, has she been checked over for any injuries to her legs?

That's what I thought too, but as far as I know there wasn't any injury. She's also not showing any other symptoms...just the leg problems. Her sister also suddenly got a lame foot, but she gets around okay. I'm wondering if it's something from the breeder's stock and if I should contact him and see if he'll replace them or something. What do you think?

Here's the video I was sent. A month ago she would have been running around and trying not to be caught, now she likes to be like this most of the time. (sorry it's sideways)
