ok ok...I have to ask. I don't know all the abbreviations and all...what is an SQ Mille?? Everyone, don't laugh at once. Let me be first then you can go ahead...

SQ = show quality

With the hatchery birds we've ordered in the past they grew up to be a good representation of the breed, but not a show worthy bird. Like my roo Monty. He's still a good looking boy, but he wouldn't win at a show.

In September I'll be selling some SQ birds from my MF. Check my BYC page for pics. I have 18 growing out right now. I plan on keeping at least 4, but the rest I will be selling at the TVA fair in Knoxville.

If you're ever in the East TN area, let me know and I'll see what we can work out

Ooh, what is the TVA fair in Knoxville? And when?

Thanks Nate....I will have to get some pictures of mine to post...I have never shown them before, but they look great. I don't know exactly what to look for in the show quality ones though....sorry.

Hello Everyone
I would love to get sq porcelains this fall so any advice were to get some that are a few months old would be great. I was also wondering how hard it would be to find some good sq lemon mille fleurs?
Thanks

Join the crowd. I really don't want that to sound sarcastic, only that I can relate. I'd love the same thing. It's my understanding there is only one person that has SQ porc. and she usually won't sell them or respond to people when the try to ask her for babies, and I don't think there are any lemons in the US. There are some in Canada. I saw some pictures of some in Quebec I believe it was. We'd have to go back and do a thread search to find the guy that's got them, but they are GORGEOUS and they are true lemons. They are breathtaking. They are perfect in color and excellent in type. I just don't know how you would get them out of Canada, or IF you can. No one has been able to yet.

OK, finally got my pictures downloaded and edited as best I can. They leave a lot to be desired, but they are what I've got for now.
Here is my current pride and joy in the d'Uccle world. She from roo Eric and one of my unrelated hens. For 2 mo. old, I think she looks pretty good.
Sorry about the quality of this picture

This is a little clearer but you still can't see her type very well.

This is dad.

This is a lavender roo I'm going to play with and see how he matures. He is about 3 mo old.

I'm so glad you finally got them downloaded. I'm so excited....I can't wait to get some from you.

I was going to tell Diamante about the same thing but I was going to add that he needed to let the rest of us know if he finds some...
