. I'm also planning on building a little coop for all of my d'Uccles. To keep them safe, I don't think I could stand it if I lost another one. My d'Uccles are my favorites.

I have a mature pen and now a grow up pen and a brooder in the house with some.

That gold laced D'uccle is pretty cool! It's so fun to see all the interesting colors that show up in this breed. Sorry to hear about the dog trouble. The only thing I've ever heard that deters them is a shock collar, and even then if the batteries are low or the collar comes off bad things happen I have shelties and they luckily shy away from the chickens. When they were approached by a silkie recently they actually seemed scared. In their defense, I can see how a silkie could be confusing and unsettling.

I TRIED THAT AND WORKED WITH A BREEDER THROUGH THERE AND IT DIDN'T TURN OUT WELL! I NEED ANOTHER ROUTE?

Does anyone know of someone on the list that would ship eggs or chicks? The egg purchase with the other person on there wasn't good..but as they said, they had too much going, I guess, and now I am back to trying to buy eggs and get them shipped, without all the mistakes? So, any guidance here would be great! Still hoping to buy froma breeder, not hatchery, but may have to try that route?

i've only worked with 2 of them: GypsyChic and teddiliza both are great to work with and both have the color you are looking for

i'm sure i havent gotten all the d'uccle breeders on there eaither

and i will be updating the list in a few days with some more breeders
