D'uccle Thread

Hi everyone! I just order 5 self blues from Crackel Hatchery. Im very excited. I LOVE D'uccles :)

Let us know how they turn out. I haven't heard any reviews about Cackle's d'Uccles, but if they're anything like their Old English Bantams, I would expect some off types and some mortalities.

Best of success, though!

I'll be sure to let everyone know how they turn out.
I dont expect them to be perfect or even show standard, just as long as their are the right colors, lol.
Me and my friend are going in on a order. (ok well, actually, Im going in on her order, she is ordering 50 chicks and me 5)

i've worked with teddi and gypsi and both are great to work with. teddi has porcelain and millie fluer and gypsi has more colors than that (cant remeber them all) but if you look on the 2012 d'uccle breeders list they both are there :) (the names are just part of their user names)

yes it takes 21 days for them to hatch

Yeah, I've emailed gyspi but haven't heard back - for that matter, looking at her post and ebay activity, she's not been active for a bit. I hope everything's okay with her! I will go with teddi when I start breeding (her porcelains are adorable) but right now my son and I just want a 'surprise' batch of quality, rainbow colored birds. So gypsi it is. :)

Here are my 5 from babymakes6. They are adorable little MFs and I am enjoying them being in the house. Out of 9 eggs sent I thought we did quite well to get 5 sweetie pies! So far only one looks like a boy but people keep telling me to wait, the sex change fairy will hit!

Yup, there are other breeds in there but since this photo was taken I have removed all except the white Silkie. It is hard to believe these sweeties are already 7 weeks old!

Well tonight I place the first of the F2 eggs into the incubator from my Lavendar enhancement project and will hopefully see a positive outcome.

This project involvedcrossing the Lavenders back to Mille Fluer to then the F1 going back to Lavender to try to improve the feather quality and Type of my Lavender flock.

How exciting!

Not sure if I already posted this or not but I am selling two Mille Fleur D'Uccle trios. One is 8-12 months and the other hatched Christmas week. They are up on PoultryBid group on Facebook. I need to sell them as they are just too small and get picked on in the brooders by all the bigger chicks so we will no longer be hatching these. Photos attached and on my website www.DieFlyRanch.om. The photo of the roo is bad. He really does not have all that white in his eye or comb. Not sure what happened to the photo as he is quite handsome.
