D'uccle Thread

Here are my 5 from babymakes6. They are adorable little MFs and I am enjoying them being in the house. Out of 9 eggs sent I thought we did quite well to get 5 sweetie pies! So far only one looks like a boy but people keep telling me to wait, the sex change fairy will hit!

Yup, there are other breeds in there but since this photo was taken I have removed all except the white Silkie. It is hard to believe these sweeties are already 7 weeks old!
Aren't these sweet looking....Are they as friendly as they look? I can't wait to have some of my own. Thanks for the pic!

Most of the ones I have are friendly.
The babies get fed meal worms from my hand so they know that as soon as they see me to come running. But they are naturally friendly birds. The ones I have from Teddiliza are mature and still are super affectionate, which is how Moonchild got sucked in......er, I mean, enchanted by them! His are the MF that hatched out with my Porcelains last year in my second batch from Teddi.
These from babymakes6 are just as lovely and I am enjoying them, though they do not get as many meal worms as the others used to get. Still, I expect them to be as endearing.
I open my tractor with the mature d'Uccles and they jump up on the door frame or on me waiting for their petting. I do have one that I did not raise that is more shy. She is gorgeous and I hope she will one day be as sweet. But there isn't anything sweeter than a d'Uccle cherub to raise up and love on!

I may have my first hatch the 17th, so wish me luck. I can only hope they are as sweet as yours! You going to have eggs any time in the near future...you raise meal worms? Thought I saw that somewhere. Got them eating out of your hands....

Amy, by 2-3 weeks it is pretty easy to tell the males from the females. Congratulations on just one male!

I would bet yours will be sweet, especially if you raise them by handling every day. Meal worms are on my website which is probably where you saw it. It is a natural nutritional treat and makes you birds totally fall in love with you.

As soon as my girls start laying more regularly I will be selling eggs but for now I am getting very few and none so far have been fertile. I think they are still trying to figure it all out.

Yes, that's where I saw it...on your site. How much are they to order?

Meal worm prices, includes shipping. They come in designer bags with bread and fruit or veggie for the trip and through Priority mail.

1000 for $16
2000 for $27
3000 for $35
4000 for $45
5000 for $55

However, at this time I am booked with orders for the next few weeks. I am still taking orders but it just will be about 3 weeks before I can ship them out.
