they look like good birds
I just wanted to jump in and say I got my very first trio of Mille Fleur's, and they are now hitting 4 months of age, and I am in love with them. I can't wait for them to begin laying. I have done lots of research, and this thread has helped me a lot to, and I feel they will make excellent show birds! I want to get some porcelains as well, and some self blue, but have had trouble locating any. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to find any, and some shows to attend? I am in Western NC.
PS Love this thread!![]()
Good question that I'd like to hear as well. I know porcelains are dilute mille fleurs, so I guess it depends upon the dilution genes (recessive or dominate).I haven't posted on this thread in a while and I had a "photo shoot" the other day and I thought I'd share some of the better pics.
Also, for you more experienced with genetics I have a question. If you breed a Porcelain to Mille Fleur and they produce 100% Mille Fleur chicks, are those chicks "split" to Porcelain? If they are bred to Porcelain, will produce a % of Porcelain and a % of Mille Fleur chicks? Thank you![]()
