I picked up two blues as well. They are booth Roos. I picked up two Milles an the one is a boy which is a nice surprise because I was looking for one. The other is blue mille an im still on the fence about the sexing. I also got a splash which is a hen and a black that is either a black red or another marans D'uccle mix. I'm happy with them.

I picked up a trio of D'Uccles at a swap yesterday. 2 Mille's (allegedly 1 boy, 1 girl), and 1 porcelean (girl). I had 2 Mille's a few weeks ago, (we lost power for over a day and they died b/c they didn't have a heat lamp) and they were CONSIDERABLY darker than these 2 I got. These ones are brown, too, but the other ones were a darker brown w/their darker feathers being darker that these ones.

I'm thinking my blue mottled is male b/c the comb is much redder than the girls. I also have a splash girl who is so cute! She's all creamy right now. The mille has a pretty cream chest but it's starting to get some black.

My hens have started to lay!! Finally I will be hatching out my Porcelain and Millie's. I'm also on the look out for some nice mottled or gold neck.

loud enough...I don't mind it, but I do have the pen 80 feet from the house.
