D'uccle Thread

BarredforLife, I had the same thing happen here years ago, after several generations of inbreeding. Millefleur is dominant to porcelain; eventually the recessive came out from both millie parents, and a few porcelain chicks appeared. They are all really cute! Mary
Ah ha!! Thanks for taking the time to clarify that up for me...I was wondering how it was possible for me to have a porcelain!

Hey everyone I have Mille Fleur, Blue Mille Fleur, and Black Mottled, and a couple splash chicks available. If anyone is interested.

Hi everyone,
I'm competing in poultry showmanship with 4-H again next week. I'm using my Porcelain D'uccle again this year. I was wondering if there's anything new about D'uccles that I need to learn. Any new varieties pending or established? Anything of the sort would be highly appreciated.

Here's the varieties I know of: Mille Fleur, Black, Porcelain, Golden Neck, Mottled, Self Blue, and White.

I also know they have a feather called the hock feather that not all breeds have.

They are actually called Vulture Hocks.

Here are some other things to research:

What the word d'Uccle means. What Mille Fleur means. What is the standard weight for d'Uccle bantams?

Actually d'Uccle means from Uccle. Uccle from the town where they come and the d' is french meaning from.

I know this is the d'Uccle thread but I need some help. I need my silver Phoenix roo to some silver hens, a red hen and a gold/cream hen. All chicks will be silver right? I just got the gold/cream, red, and a silver hen not to long ago and separated them with him for two weeks before collecting their eggs along with the other 4 silver hens. I don't know how many eggs the red or gold hens laid since there are only two. But what do you think? Please let me know.
