This is so difficult to hear. Are you very sure?? This is by far the sweetest chicken I have...just loves to sit in my lap. Yes, he does have a cross beak. Its not too bad yet but I'm worried it will get worse. We live in a neighborhood and I can't have a crowing rooster in the yard. I can't imagine who would take this rooster due to the cross beak. He has also always been a little fragile....had a respiratory thing when very small and we really didnt' think he (still hard to say) would make it. And just to tiny compared to my other hens. I will call the breeder and get his suggestions but I will never get any chicks from him again. So disapointed and my kids are really worried about what is going to happen to him. Maybe I can find a way to keep him but the crowing would be a big issue for us and our neighbors I'm afraid.
