D'uccle Thread

No, your bird is a d'Uccle, it just means that her coloring isn't all that great.

She is just a pet quality bird.

No, she's a golden neck. She just has a lot of gold. d'Uccles tend to gain more white with age, so wait on her.

I am bringing her to show regardless, she will be my fit and show girl. She is much better behaved then my shy-sweet sebright. <3
Another question, so porcelain is mille fluer crossed with a lavender D'uccle?

Depending on the lice, they do bite the bird when they get old enough.

Argh!! My millies have sprouted very loooong footfeathers, and now are molting! Gersh! If only they had had those during the fair... sigh....

Also, just the other day when I purchased a few hens, the lady I bought from had a very nice d'Uccle rooster. He was gorgeous! NO, wattles AT ALL. And, he wasn't mille fleur, but he had those rich golden/red feathers and a black tail. NO white. He looked like he could be a red Columbian.

I've made plans (in my own head) to go pick him up once my additional coop is finished.
