D'uccle Thread

I also have eggs due to hatch Thursday. I just went out at lunch and tried to get a heat lamp bulb. There are non to be found. I have the coops draft free and feed them extra cracked corn before bed time.I called the guy at the feed store and ask him what he is doing and he isn't using any heat in his coops. So I hope everyone makes it okay. I'm going to put down extra hay on the ground so they have that to keep their feet of the frozen ground when the get down. The roos were crowing away this morning. Now I am baby sitting a friends two small goats. they are in my garage in the dog kennel so I will be moving them to the barn with my LF flock, turkeys and 3 goats. They will just have to get along because I need to bring the dog in to the kennel. I have a creek hat I can get water from if I need to. I have enough can food My family and I can eat off it for a month and the freezer is full. My gas grill has a stove eye on it so I can cook anything I want. If it gets really bad and they look like something is wrong I can bring them into the garage and move the dog into the house which would not make her or me happy, but could be done in a emergency. I think we have one of those radiator style heaters I could put in there. I probably need to get some more Vaseline for their combs, but don't know if I want to brave the store to get it...

I also have eggs in the incubator. They are due to hatch the 14.
Yes I said if the power goes out I will be doing the bra thing. Which will be hysterical in its self because I have a dozen. Bantam, but that would still be a lumpy sight... I still haven't figured out how you would sleep with eggs. There hasn't been any recent updates on that thread so I don't know how that is going.

I just won't mess with the incubator. I am not sticking eggs in my bra lol. My luck one would break. I guess just try and and not roll in your sleep

Oh there is no way I could do that. I would have them squished flat with in a hour. I could just see me showing up to coach 9-10 yr old boys basketball with a bra full of eggs.

My d'uccle girl looks like she's dying. :( I have no idea why, she's been in the house since the beginning of winter.

I've put antibiotics in her water in a last ditch effort; she won't eat even raw yolk or bread. So torn and confused; the only symptom is white diarrhea but i can feel nothing that is constipating her or no bound egg. She's stone cold as well, though the temp in the bird's room is 65 degrees. I've heat lamped her at this point but idk what else to do; i tried forcing pellets but she spits even when i hold her beak shut. :(

Anyone have any ideas?

I'm so sorry. I don't have any thing to help, wish I did.
