Ok here's my question: at what age did everyone's rooster's spurs grow in? Latest? The son of my 2 year spurless roo is 6+ mo now and still nubs. Dare i hope? If so it is time to breed him or dad to my project ees.

Then the question becomes who has the most potent genes him or dad? Son was an accidental inbreed with a brother sister. Does that give him a double dose of the gene???
My roosters never seem to get spurs, so I can't answer that.

I am planning on getting some Porcelain colored D'uccles. Are they actually sweeties? Will they beat up other breeds?

Hard to say. We have 4 girls and one polish bantam together. The d'uccles seem nice but last week they started aggravatating an old top knot wound on the polish caused by an LF 3 month old cockerel. I can't put the polish bantam with the LF flock and there's no other polish. They aren't bothering each other, and they aren't constantly harrassing the polish girl but they arent leaving her bald spot alone.

As for the boys, I've had 2. One would attack my legs and the other one never did. Right now, I'm roo-less. Need to find one for my girls.

I guess they are like most people, some are nice and some aren't.
