Just a question, why not just enter them as "Booted Bantams"?
d'uccle have to have a beard. they should have not won anything for the d'uccle but should have been disqualified. enter them as booted bantams.I thought about that too. What do you think the judges would accept?
i thought the stance was a bit different as well. The only difference between Booted Bantams & d'Uccles is the beard & muff on the d'Uccles. Otherwise their breed description is exactly the same.
strange that they lost there beards and vulture hocks.Looks like a khaki, but I THOUGHT I only had roos with dun. Everywhere I look, they say this chick down color is khaki, duck wing type feathering when a mature. I'm trying to bring the dun gene into d'uccles. this first batch is showing great color, but they've lost their beards and vulture hocks.
