I just hatched out three black d'Uccle chicks. They are quite a surprise, but I assume they are from eggs from my mixed variety pen.I almost thought that they were bantam cochins, but then I noticed their pure blackness and puffy cheeks!!

Adorable! That one at the bottom sure has a big comb for it's age
so I'm thinking he's probably a boy.

Where did you get your flock from?

My breeders are descendants of birds I bought from a friend who said that she bought them (as eggs) from various top breeders in the US. Sorry I don't really have the details

Does anyone have a good quality rooster at a reasonable price? I do not care what color but he is going with my Mille Fluer pullets. He needs to be young, around 4-6 months old.
