Ok, folks, let's try this again as we re-open this thread. A few reminders from your over-worked, volunteer moderation staff:
1. If a post seems offensive, do not engage in a thread wide debate or discussion. This is merely flaming and argumentative. Hit the report button and the moderation staff will review the post(s) in question.
2. Asking if ones bird is pretty is a subjective question. Asking if ones bird is "show quality", even asking naively, opens a whole different set of critiques and objective judging.
3. This thread is in a forum marked Breeds, Genetics & Showing. The difficulty with a thread that has participants who are both pet people and the bred-to-standard, show people is that since the values, purposes and even the terms and nomenclature used can differ so greatly, worlds can come into collision.
Let's try a bit more mutual understanding, gracious speech, and peaceful co-existence.
As an old friend used to say, "It's just chickens, it's not a religion".
