Hey guys i have some d'uccles and we won grand champion showmanship i want to get into apa showing too i really like naked necks but i want to work on breeding a better naked neck before i get into showing them but my second intrest is in d'uccles do you guys know where i can get some SQ d'uccles at thanks

I'm hoping that my pet EE hen will accept the little roo at some point. They both have the same mellow temperament, and i'm kinda going for a small mellow EE in general. I had originally gotten the d'uccles as possible broodies, but quickly realized the futility, lol. But i fell in love with the little guys for their own qualities. It would be easy to keep both projects "pure" given the huge size difference in eggs!




Random question ; do d'uccle boys ever get spurs????? My boy is a year old now and still has none!

Yep my roo crows all of the time, too but my young Silkie has him beat!!!

Just realize that porcelain silkies aren't a real porcelain. They don't have mottle, and they are all over the place as far as colour/pattern. nice ones are gorgeous, but far too many are all over the place genetically. Most people are transitioning to calling them self-blue cream
Is this because you can't tell really their pattern in all the silk?

Nice looking bird, was his comb frostbitten. My Mottled rooster's comb looks like that and he took BV before the frostbite
