D'uccle Thread

So today both my bantams decided to go broody. I didn't notice because I have one of my standard hens on 12 eggs who went broody Monday.
My question is , how many eggs can my Mille Fluer d'uccle sit on?
My other bantam is a frizzle cochin. I gave them both 5 eggs and they are both happy as clams! I do have fertile eggs stored for each hen. My mille stopped laying my cochin did lay today. However, I know she's been in the processes because she just got off eggs and did all the broody deeds.
I hear bantams can be nasty with each other's baby's . Is this true?
Also, what if they get nest confused will this be a problem ? Any answers would be great!!
I swear a fairy hen flew over my yard and dropped broody dust

3 Broodys at once and 10 eggs in incubator.. I better get all extra broody houses set up.

What should I do our power went out while I have 42 Mille fleur eggs in the bator on day 18
they are producing some of their own heat, wrap the incubator loosely in blankets. did the electricity come back on? if not you can try pop bottles of warm water to help or heat pack but you will need to manually adjust them to get ideal heating

My d'uccle usually sit on 5-7, and they are great with each other's babies. I had two broodies both hatch last week, and they will swap the kids back and forth all day while they are ranging. When it's time to warm up, or go to bed, they head for their mommy. It's amazing how the chicks and hens know each other. My silkies do the exact same thing. I guess it really does take a village...

That is so sweet! My two ladies are my favorite vs. my standard. They never fight , they just run around like two BFFS. They can't decided if they want to go full broody yet. I left eggs out for a few days but will pull them today if they don't stay out. They are going 7 hours then they start to play.
