Me too beautiful!!!, I love those colors!  So angelic.  I love my Millies to but...

I know it would be wrong wrong wrong and not acceptable standard.  But someone with some breeding capabilities and a little time....  Those porcelains could lay blue eggs and be even more heavenly...

it is amazing-as the season progresses the chicks are getting more and larger spots from the start, some others i have have not spots but gray patches. these two just popped out of the eggs last night! as you can see there are two different 'white' background colours -the ivory white/yellow tint of chicks like leghorns (which i believe is dominant) and the 'white' white.

I was just thinking what a shame that my girls feet feathers are all mucked up and I should give them a bath so I went out to "have a chat" with them about it and saw fresh new feather shafts coming in all over their legs =) gotta love nustock, I had treated them two weeks ago and last week for mites so now they are pest free and growing in pretty new leg and feet feathers=)

I was hoping to get a little help/encouragement with a d'uccle related thing. There is a lovely pair of porcelain d'uccles listed on craigslist that I have be eyeing I showed my husband and he is not impressed ( may have something to do with our coop not being built yet- whatever lol).

My question is how big are the d'uccles related to say australorps, dominques and wyandottes - which are what I have brooding downstairs? Will they get along and if I end up with a d'uccle roo? Will he try to mate or be successful mating with my current ladies? My ladies (6 of them total) are about 6 weeks old (hatch date March 30th) and the d'uccles I am eying were hatched March 18th.

They should be fine once they've been introduced and integrated unless you have a lf roo? My bantam roosters have previously fertilized my lf hen eggs it depends on the roo and the hen, the amount of feathers in the way and if your lf hens submit/like him lol good luck with talking hubby into them you'll love them

i traded for these, the female has a good back balance and the male is one of the only few i have seen with black dominating in the beard- i am naming him Edward Teach! they are around 4 months old and hatchery stock. they both also have a welcome lack of white feathers on the head.

a pair of young (2-3 month) hens, one blue brown/red and one splash.
